Planning our prelim task


For the planning process of the prelim task we as a group set about creating a plan. We brainstormed ideas on to this plan. The original idea was to do an interrogation between a FBI agent and a suspect. However we quickly changed our minds when I suggested the kidnapping idea which eventually was the idea we used. Our plan was split up into different sections. These sections were for camera, sound, lighting, Mise en scene and editing. This set up allowed us to take all 5 of these things into consideration for every section of the video clip itself. We decided on a darker lighting as we felt it matched to mood of the film, which was a dark kidnapping. This was the same for the costumes, which come under the Mise en scene, which were also dark. However I brought in a blindfold. The colour of the blind fold was planned to be white as the bright white would stand out against the darker lighting ad cloths. We initially decided on simple straight cuts for the clip as we wanted the clip to flow quickly and smoothly. We drew out a small storyboard. We did this so that we knew what would be happening during every scene.
